Founder's Bio
Patrick Perugini founded Dynamic Bicycles in 2004 because of his belief that bicycles can be - and should be - easier to operate, easier to maintain and easier to enjoy. Patrick spent much of his childhood on a bicycle as most kids did a generation ago. He used it to get to school, friends's houses, sports pratices and even used cycling as his primary rehabilitation from three knee surgeries. But one day after reading about Shimano's new internally geared hubs, he realized the derailleur-based gearing of his old mountain bike and road bike seemed dated. So he set out with a mission to make bicycling more enjoyable to more people by developing bikes based on this new internal gearing technology. Patrick's passion has produced a number of innovations, including a full range of chainless bikes as well as revolutionary road and commuter bicycles. Today, Dynamic Bicycles offers a full range of bicycles for recreation, fitness and commuting.
With his home in west suburban Boston, Patrick commutes his 7 miles by bike much of the year to Dynamic's offices in Holliston, MA.
